About Us
Who We Are
Chamber Pops was envisioned in the Summer of 2023 by Davis Baker as an event where young musicians could create their own chamber ensembles and play pop music. This festival was created to bring musicians together and to raise awareness of Chamber music in general, making it more accessible to all audiences.
In addition, Chamber Pops is a fundraiser! All proceeds from the concert go toward a music related charity. We support a different musical charity every year. In 2024 we raised $580 for the Raleigh Music Collective, and we hope to greatly expand that in the future!
The main Chamber Pops concert is hosted at the Rialto Theater, a historic building in Raleigh. The Theater has been around since the 1930s, and has been an integral part of the Raleigh music scene for almost that long.

Our Mission:
To create events where middle school and high school students can come together, forming chamber ensembles, in order to play music that they love while also raising money for music education!

Davis Baker | President, Founder, Artistic Director

As a musician, Davis plays the bassoon in the Enloe Wind Ensemble, Enloe Symphony Orchestra, Triangle Youth Philharmonic, TYP Wind Quintet, and the Frozen Finger Quintet, of which he is a founder. Davis also studies piano privately with Dr. Margaret Evans at Meredith College. Some of the musical honors Davis has been distinguished with include First Chair All-State Bassoon in 2022, 23, and 25, Principal Bassoonist in Triangle Youth Philharmonic 24-25, Enloe Wind Ensemble, and Enloe Symphony Orchestra. Davis had the distinct honor of attending North Carolina Governor’s School West for Instrumental Music in 2025.
Davis received Second Place at the Young Artists Auditions Piano Competition with a Superior Rating in 2024, and received Highest Honors at NCMTA Piano Competition in 2025, 2024, and 2023 at both District and State levels. Davis is looking forward to completing the Social Music Diploma for National Guild Auditions this year, and has fond memories of performing 15 piece programs most years before this one.
In his free time Davis enjoys reading, hiking, and as unpopular as it may be, practicing. He truly loves making music and communicating with others through this wonderful medium. He was lucky enough to go to Philmont Scout Ranch this past summer on a 12 day backpacking trek, and would love to do something like that again. Davis also has aspirations of someday writing a book.
Davis is looking forward to expanding Chamber Pops this year, and making it bigger and better than ever. He looks forward to involving as many schools as possible, and making the concert as fun of an event as it can be. Davis is extremely grateful to those who have graciously agreed to help him along this journey, and can’t wait to see what they can do together.

Jonas Hutchinson | Logistics Coordinator
Sure! Here’s a couple paragraph long personal bio about you that sounds like a human wrote it.
Jonas is a junior at Enloe High School and has been Logistics Coordinator since it was a position. He’s also played at Chamber Pops every single year.
Jonas plays the Tenor Saxophone and has done a plethora of things such as “Principal” Tenor Sax in Enloe wind ensemble, Enloe jazz ambassadors, special guest in the Enloe Symphonic Orchestra, Frozen Finger Quintet, and Triangle Youth Jazz Orchestra. He’s also been in all the honour bands including All-District, All-Region Jazz, first chair All-State, and All-State Jazz. He’s gotten superiors in Solo and Ensemble MPA many times. He’s performed at weddings and gigs with reviews rivaling the jazz greats of their time.

He volunteers at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences as a Junior Curator where he does field work and animal husbandry. He also volunteers as a Junior Interpreter teaching thousands of children and parents alike the wonders of science.
Jonas looks forward to establishing Chamber Pops for the future and making it a logistical master-work. He hopes for this organization to be a long lasting organization that stays for a long time.
Nora Snowden | Outreach Coordinator – Emails
Nora is a sophomore at Enloe High School! She has been a performer at Chamber Pops since its inaugural year, and after a great first year on board, she is super excited to be a co-outreach coordinator once again for the 2026 festival.
Nora plays the flute, and is a member of the Enloe Wind Ensemble and Enloe Flute Choir. She has participated in many honor ensembles over the years, such as the All-County and All-District bands, and most recently, was awarded as a top musician in the Raleigh Area Flute Association (RAFA) Review and Contest Division 4. In addition, she is an active member of RAFA, participating in multiple contests and sponsored events.
Outside of playing music, Nora is a competitive rower, whose boat recently placed 10th in the nation at the USRowing Youth Nationals!! She also enjoys activities such as reading, writing, and listening to more music. She has hopes of learning other instruments such as guitar and saxophone, but regrettably has no free time. Nora also loves volunteering and making a difference in her community, and she has dreams of someday becoming a lawyer or politician.
Nora absolutely loved working on Chamber Pops last year, and she is so thankful for Davis for letting her be a part of this event and for her fellow board members who have helped make it possible. As a co-outreach coordinator, Nora is super excited to expand Chamber Pops’s involvement in the community, and hopes that this event will be better than ever!

Elise Snider | Board Member & Graphic Designer
Elise is a junior at Enloe High School. She joined Chamber Pops in 2025 to bring a new look to the organization’s logo, design, and merch. While she might not play an instrument, Elise is still excited to help out the team and support a cause she believes in.
Beyond Chamber Pops, Elise is involved in pretty much everything international relations and political science related at Enloe. In addition to her roles as Features Editor for The Eagle’s Eye and Lincoln-Douglas Captain in Speech and Debate, she works as President of Model United Nations and Mock Trial. She’s done art and design all her life and can’t wait to put her passion towards such an impactful program.
Despite her relative musical ignorance compared to the rest of board, Elise is still so grateful for the opportunity to work with Chamber Pops. She can’t wait to expand the organization, meet new people, and make something amazing with her community.

Evelyn Baucom | Board Member
Evelyn is a junior at Enloe High School, and has been involved in Chamber Pops since it was founded. They are excited to participate in the next Chamber Pops concert, and hopefully the one after that.
Evelyn primarily plays the flute, as well as piano and some other instruments occasionally. They have been actively participating in band and band activities since 6th grade, and always striving to get better as a musician. In addition to this, Evelyn tries to take advantage of any opportunity to experience something (usually musical) that could be a once in a lifetime opportunity. As a team, the Chamber Pops board is working to make Chamber Pops one of those experiences.
Evelyn’s hobbies involve mostly music (playing but also theory and composition) and recreational mathematics (nerd). They also have a goal to play as many different instruments as possible throughout their lifetime.
Hopefully Chamber Pops will be a positive experience for anyone that chooses to play with us!

Mary Hall | Board Member
Mary is a sophomore at Enloe High School. She has proudly performed in all 2 festivals and is very excited to have the opportunity to help run this year’s festival! She has seen the tremendous amount of work Davis and the team have contributed in years past and can’t wait to support them!
Mary plays the euphonium (it looks like a small tuba) and sometimes even the trombone and trumpet! She is also learning the guitar and piano for great fun! In 2023, Mary was in the All-County and All-District bands and in 2024, Mary was in the All-County, All-District, and All-State bands on the euphonium. Mary is first chair in Enloe’s Wind Ensemble and is a proud member of Enloe’s Tri-M Music Honor Society.
Outside of band and music, Mary loves to play all sports and be outside! She plays soccer for Wake FC’s 09 DPL team and Enloe’s; she also plays basketball for Enloe’s wonderful team! Mary is Mentor Coordinator for Enloe’s Medical Bioscience Academy and is a member of Enloe’s HOSA-Future Health Professionals where she and her teammate won first place in the state convention and got top 40 in the world for CERT Skills. If you’re not finding Mary playing sports, splinting a fracture (in a simulation), or learning an instrument you’d probably find her at the gym, on a trail, fishing, reading, or cooking something. Mary has great hopes of becoming a doctor for fellow athletes.
Mary is very excited to be on this year’s Chamber Pop’s board and make this festival incredible! She also encourages you to have fun in everything you do.
